Wedding Cake T&Cs
Wedding Cake Terms & Conditions
Thank you so much for choosing me to create your wedding cake. These terms and conditions are intended to ensure everything is clear from the outset and to help your wedding day run as smoothly as possible. By booking a cake with myself you agree with these terms and conditions.
Please note: If you have already paid a deposit and are unhappy with any of these terms and conditions, I am happy to offer a full refund of your deposit within 14 days of booking.
Design & Inspiration
Due to copyright considerations, professional ethics, and respect for fellow cake artists, I do not create exact replicas of another cake maker's work. Any photographs or inspiration images provided will be used as a guide to create a cake in my own style, rather than copied exactly.
Deposits & Cancellations
A 20% booking fee is required to secure your wedding date. This booking fee is generally non-refundable, as your date is reserved exclusively for you.
However, if you cancel your booking more than six months before your wedding date, I will happily refund your booking fee in full. In exceptional circumstances, refunds may also be considered at my discretion.
Cancellation by the Cake Maker
In the highly unlikely event that I am unable to fulfil your order due to illness, emergency, or any unforeseen circumstance, all monies paid will be refunded in full.
Cake Style
My speciality is buttercream, semi-naked, and naked wedding cakes. Please ensure this is the style you are looking for before booking. I do not offer fondant-covered or ganache-finished cakes, although sugar flowers may be incorporated into designs where appropriate.
Delivery, Setup & Responsibility
Due to the delicate nature of wedding cakes, I personally deliver and set up all cakes at your chosen venue. I will liaise directly with your venue or wedding coordinator regarding delivery arrangements, allowing you one less thing to worry about on your wedding day.
Delivery and setup costs will be included within your quotation.
Once the cake has been delivered, fully assembled, and set up at the agreed location within the venue, responsibility for the cake passes to the venue and/or client. While every effort is made to ensure the cake is displayed safely and securely, I cannot accept liability for any damage, movement, deterioration, or alterations that occur after setup.
For safety and stability reasons, the cake must not be moved, repositioned, transported, adjusted, or dismantled by any person other than myself. If the cake is moved after setup, any resulting damage, shifting of tiers, decorations, or structural issues will not be the responsibility of the cake maker.
The venue should ensure the cake is displayed in a suitable location away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, adverse weather conditions, high-traffic areas, or any other environmental factors that may affect its condition. The only time the cake can be moved by anyone but myself is for the venue to take the cake apart to cut it to serve.
Concerns, Complaints & Reviews
I take great pride in both my cakes and customer service and will always do my best to resolve any concerns fairly and professionally.
Should you have any concerns regarding your order, I kindly ask that you contact me directly and provide me with a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter before leaving any public review or feedback. Most issues can be addressed quickly through open communication, and I am committed to working with my clients to reach a fair resolution wherever possible. I will go above and beyond to help with any issues.
Questions
If you have any questions regarding these terms or any aspect of your wedding cake, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Thank you again for supporting my business and trusting me to be part of your special day.
