Hi, I’m Lizzie! 👋

I’m a 34 year old mum of three, lover of beach walks and the cake designer behind The North Devon Baker.

What started as a passion for baking became my full time business nine years ago, and since then I’ve had the privilege of creating wedding and celebration cakes for hundreds of couples and clients across North Devon.

The North Devon Baker is run from my dedicated home bakery on the beautiful North Devon coastline, where I create everything from bespoke wedding cakes and celebration cakes to dessert tables and sweet treats.

For me, a cake should taste every bit as incredible as it looks. Flavour is always at the heart of what I do, using carefully chosen ingredients and tried and tested recipes that have been refined over many years.

I also know that ordering a wedding cake can sometimes feel overwhelming. There are flavours, sizes, designs, flowers, timings and all sorts of little details to think about, so my job is to make the entire process feel simple, relaxed and enjoyable.

From your first enquiry right through to delivery and setup on the day, I’m here to guide you, answer your questions and make sure everything is taken care of.

Creating cakes for some of life’s biggest moments is something I never take for granted. I genuinely care about every wedding and celebration I’m lucky enough to be part of, and I put the same care, attention and excitement into every cake I create.

Whether you already know exactly what you want or only have a few ideas to start with, I’ll work closely with you to create something that feels personal to your day, your style and your budget.

My quotes are fully inclusive of your cake decor, delivery and consultations, so there are no unexpected extras along the way. You can be involved in as much or as little of the design process as you like, knowing that everything will be handled with care from start to finish.

I’m fully insured, hold a Level 5 food hygiene rating and am qualified in food safety and hygiene. I’m also proud to be a recommended supplier at several beautiful wedding venues across North Devon and a member of the North Devon Wedding Network.
